Triumph Stag 1973 Mk2 Auto
Purchased for $40,000 a few years back, best available at that time with over $14,000 receipts. Apparently a reconditioned engine by a previous owner, but no receipts for that.
In my ownership, I have spent over $30,000 getting it how I like a car (yes, apparently I’m obsessive!)
Car has hard and soft tops (soft top a bit worn but hardly ever use it), has been repainted, (previous owner). Running the Stag Weber carb (have originals) and header tank conversion, Minilite style 15” wheels with 195/65 15 Continental tyres, stainless exhaust.
Recent water pump and head gaskets replacement, including new valves, springs, valve guides, head studs and bolts, surfaced etc. Timing chains and tensioners were inspected and found to have been replaced. Master Cylinder and starter motor reconditioned, new thermo-coupling and fan. Slave cylinders etc done previously.
Inside, new factory seat covers, seat foam, carpets, door cards.
Stereo with Bluetooth and 4 speakers, no holes cut in upholstery.
Probably a lot of other things that would take up pages of info!
Comes with Hardtop Stand and Wind deflector.
Very tidy, but it is 50 years old! Just completed a trip from Oamaru to Cape Reinga and many points in between without missing a beat!
Looking for realistic offers over $40,000.
